• Financial Aid Scholarships to St. Pius X Catholic School

    1. DOL SCHOLARSHIP: There is a $30.00 fee payable to FACTS through their online application process.  Applicants can complete the online form by clicking the FACTS link here:  SPX FINANCIAL AID

    The link will be available December 1, 2017 and will close April 1, 2018.  The deadline for applications is March 1, 2018.  After March 1, 2018 please contact your school directly as to whether a late application will be accepted. Once the FACTS online form has been completed, the following information will need to be submitted to FACTS online, by fax, or mail to complete the financial assistance process:

        Copies of your most recent Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules and W2’s.
        Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and TANF.

    All supporting documentation can be uploaded online through the FACTS online form or can be faxed to 1-866-315-9264 or mailed to the address below.  Please be sure to include the applicant ID on all faxed or mailed correspondence.

    Financial Aid Scholarships to Powers Catholic High School

    2. Shand Scholarship: The Shand Family Scholarship Fund has been established to provide funding for a deserving St. Pius X Catholic School graduate who will enroll as a ninth grader at Powers Catholic High School.  The individual must be in need of financial assistance, have the scholastic ability to be accepted for admission to Powers and is expected to maintain a 3.0 grade point average while attending Powers.

    3. The Alexa Rose Woodfield Scholarship: The Alexa Rose Woodfield Memorial Scholarship has been established in memory of Alexa Rose Woodfield, a graduate of St. Pius X Catholic School, by the Woodfield Family.  A $750 scholarship is available for a St. Pius X Catholic School graduate who will be attending Powers Catholic High School as a ninth grader.

    Alexa Rose Woodfield was a student at St. Pius X from Preschool-8th grade.  She attended Powers Catholic High School where she was always willing to lend a helping hand.  Alexa is survived by her Father, Mother, and sister Candice.  She is missed by all who knew aalexa nd loved her.

She was known to help freshmen find their way around Powers when they needed direction. She had a gift of loving and that is exactly what she did. She loved her family more than anything; her Mother, Father and sister Candice.     The application procedure for either scholarship is:

    1. The family must be a registered, active, contributing member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
    2. The family must submit a financial aid application at Powers High School.
    3. The family must submit a letter to St. Pius X Parish indicating the desire to apply for the scholarship(s).
    4. A letter from the student indicating his/her wish to attend Powers High School must be submitted in writing to St. Pius X Parish. A copy of the student’s most recent report card from St. Pius X School must be included.
    5. The family and student letters must be submitted to St. Pius X by March 29th

    It is understood by the family that:

    1. Permission is given for St. Pius X to obtain necessary financial information from the Powers application;
    2. Any funds awarded will be paid directly to Powers High School to be applied to the family’s tuition account;
    3. The student must strive to do his/her best academically and display a strong moral character;
    4. The family will provide a copy of the student’s quarterly report card from Powers to the St. Pius X Parish Office (Shand scholarship recipient only);
    5. If the student’s grades fall below the 3.0 grade point average required for the award, the scholarship may be revoked for the remainder of the school year (Shand scholarship recipient only).
